Our certifications
After a 9 month application process our application for participation in the Minnesota Small Business Procurement Program as both a Woman Owned Small Business and a Tree Care Company has been approved. We are the only Woman Owned Tree Care Company & the only Small Business Tree Care Company certified to do business with the State of Minnesota.
Minnesota Small Business Procurement Program
The Office of State Procurement determined that Melissa, owner of Alliance Tree Care Inc., was owned and operated as a woman owned small business. Thus allowing Alliance Tree Care Inc., to be registered to take on tree industry projects within the State of MN. Melissa DBA Alliance Tree Care Inc., is the only woman owned Tree Care Company with this accreditation within the State of Minnesota. Absolutely one of the certifications to be very proud of!
Minnesota Disadvantaged Business Enterprise
The goal of the DBE program is to make sure there is equal opportunity in the award of US DOT-FTA-FAA-FHWA assisted contracts for highway, transit, and airport projects. The program is intended to create a “level playing field” on which DBEs can compete fairly with larger non-DBE firms.
Every year government agencies in Minnesota spend millions of dollars on highway, airport, housing, and transit planning, construction, and maintenance projects. DBE’s are Disadvantaged Business Enterprises. DBE’s are for-profit small business concerns where socially and economically disadvantaged individuals own at least a 51% interest in the firm and control the management and daily business operations. To become a Certified DBE firm, they must be verified by the MnUCP as meeting Federal DBE Regulation standards.
International Society of Female Professionals
The International Society of Female Professionals is an organization dedicated to connecting, supporting, empowering, and advancing like minded professional women. Among all the certifications, this is a very important one and Melissa has a lifelong membership, and has been an active member since 2020.
Women Owned Small Business Certification
We also have a WOSB Women Owned Small Business & WBE Womens Business Enterprise Certifications. Certifications awarded through WBENC. WBENC Certification validates that a business is at least 51 percent owned, controlled, operated, and managed by a woman, Melissa. This means one or more women must have unrestricted control of the business, a demonstrated management of day-to-day operations, and a proportionate investment of capital or expertise. To become certified, business owners undergo a thorough rigorous vetting process, including an annual detailed business documentation review and onsite visit.
Better Business Bureau Accredited
BBB Accreditation Standards represent standards for business accreditation by BBBs in North America.
These standards are based on BBB’s determination of the attributes of a better business. They incorporate not only lawful business practices, but also BBB’s experience with ethical advertising, selling and customer experiences. For a business to qualify for BBB Accreditation, it must continually meet these standards. Not all businesses will qualify for BBB Accreditation.
In a market saturated with companies vying for customers, BBB Accreditation gives consumers confidence that they’re dealing with an ethical and vetted business.
