About Us

Let us tell you a little bit about us, the owners of Alliance Tree Care Inc. your dedicated arbor care company. Alliance Tree Care is owned by Melissa Breen and Kelby Nelson and our team consists of 4 more industry passionate individuals.

We proudly serve the homes and businesses of the Twin Cities Metro Area, primarily the northeast metro area.

We NEVER use fear based sales tactics or encourage you into signing unnecessary contracts. We believe you as the client have the opportunity to change your mind if you so choose, whenever you choose, and for whatever reason you choose. We pride ourselves on hand shake deals and payment only after the job is completed, no down payments accepted!

About us - Owner Melissa Breen.

Melissa has over 19 years of experience in the industry working formerly at Timberline Tree Service prior to its closing in 2019. She grew up in the White Bear Lake area and graduated from White Bear Lake high.

Her dedication to building a long-standing and personal relationship with each customer makes her a rarity in the field. Melissa enjoys learning all aspects of the industry.

She’s often on-site assisting the crew any way she can. Meanwhile, she is also advancing her knowledge to become certified in all aspects of the tree care industry.

Melissa was granted a woman owned small business certification in 2020. Melissa also holds multiple government certifications and tree industry memberships.

When she’s not working, you can find her taking in the natural beauty of Minnesota with her husband at their cabin in the woods of northern Minnesota.

About us - Owner Kelby Nelson.

Kelby has over 21 years of experience in the industry. Kelby believes that the betterment of all trees will provide a healthier environment for future generations. He enjoys advancing his knowledge by being a member of the International Society of Arborculture and the Minnesota chapter of the Society of Arborculture.

Likewise he is also a member of the Tree Care Industry Association and he attends annual continuing education classes, like the annual Shade Tree Short Course at the University of Minnesota held in March, to stay up to date with changing industry standards and techniques.

When he’s not working, he is training for, and competing in, the annual tree climbing competition. Most of all he loves spending as much of the free time he has with his daughter.

During these difficult times, Alliance Tree Care is staying up to date with all Covid 19 protocols. So please know that we will do everything possible to keep everybody safe. Not only to keep our team and their families safe, but our clients as well.

In addition, the state of Minnesota declared Alliance Tree Care together with our supporting organizations TCIA & ISA, to be essential to our communities. Therefore we are happy to continue providing free social distancing on-site estimates. We work with detailed and elaborated schedules so we can complete every job in a timely manner.
